To Mason: On your 3rd Birthday

My Dearest Mason:

Wow! You are 3 (well not until 12:42, it's only 9:42). Words cannot even begin to describe how the past three years you have grown.

1. You have a passion to pick up anything and learn about it. Books, my iphone, this in particular is cars! Weather diecast or rubber you try to "salvage" everything! You love your cars.

2. You eat NOTHING. You are a very pick eater. You will not touch one vegatable but you love Chipotle Guacamole. Go figure. Mommy calls you "Riblet"

3. Both you and your sister have a love hate relationship. Your sister loves to instigate but you have now found yourself being the bully. Mommy not happy! You beat the heck out of one another.

4. Because of the above making friends can be hard for you. Good thing Ernie Baby sometimes likes a good battle because you two are beginning to grow into good friends. You are twice his size which is funny because I see Mommy and Sissy in the both of you.

4. You have come to use the potty with huge success! All you need is mommy to help you on and off! You are so proud of yourself and I couldn't be any more happier (Daddy's wallet is too)

5 You have comed to learn how to manipulate. Mommy inparticular. You misbehave and you play the "I'm Mommy's baby boy" card, which I can only blame my self for Lastly.

6. You LOVE your Mommy. Ever since day one you have always been a mommy's boy. You'd hear me when you were a baby and Nan would say your face would just light up! You now like to come up to me and say Mommy's baby boy, and be cuddled and held. Even though you are officially not "baby" boy anymore, you still are and always will be my baby boy (sniff).

Your Mommy now is a blubbery mess of tears!

is putting it lightly. I made a promise to myself to document every step of the kids life through Scrapbooking or blogging. Needless to say I have done neither lately. Just getting a picture of the both of them is so difficult. Lately I have been thinking about making some changes around here to spice things up a little so stay tuned. Lauren's Married!

Now forall of you who may know me, I am a hobbyist, aspiring photographer, with little background in the wedding aspect of photography. Not to say its a route that someday I don't wish to endeavor again, but this was truly a unique experience for me.

I have known The Castrantas family now for almost 12 years (god I'm old). They have always been my "other" family. The love and respect this family has for one another shows through and through. Lauren's wedding day was all of that and more! If one word could some up her day it would be that. Love. Love for Matt, and the love shared throughout the family, and their friends the entire night! Not a dry eye in the house, nor a filled seat the entire night! Everyone danced and celebrated the night away! Truly the BEST wedding I have ever been to! I just cannot get this day out of the back of my mind! Everyone was just.....happy. A joyful aura encompassed the whole entire day! From morning to night there were nothing but smiles all the way around!

Lauren, you were the most beautiful bride. I hope I captured as much of the love and joy that you and Matt share with one another. I am truly grateful for the opportunity.

Mark and Lorraine. Thank You for affording me the opportunity to be a big part of such a joyous day. Words cannot express how truly thankful I am. This truly was a day I will NEVER forget. I love you all from the bottom of my heart!

I know, I know. I have been slacking on the ol blog. It's just been super crazy with the kids and sometimes I lose sight on the fact that I still have this blog. One of my closest friends, and a family member at that is Andrew. As all of you may know, Andrew is the namesake for Craig and I being married. He is such a wonderful man. Always has been there as a great friend for both Craig and I. His girlfriend Elizabeth is nothing short of what he is. She is a WONDERFUL mother to her children, and excellent hostess to my children and I while we were staying there, a supportive and loving woman to Andrew, and most of all for me, great new friend.

Thank You for affording me the oppurtunity to have the children, and I stay in the beautiful Adirondacks for a few days. It was eventful, awesome, and just downright FUN!! I hope we do it again really soon!

It's Been a While

This I know. Seemed like October ran right smack dab into December than up in January LOL. Needless to say these past fews months have been quite hectic here at the Richardson's. Everyone got what they asked Santa for this Christmas, and the weather was beyond White for such a time. I hate the Winter when it come to photography because lighting indoors is so grim. Mason is IMPOSSIBLE to get a pic of. He's all over the place yelling cheese and will not stay still. I have tried candy, everything! Well I caught him in the usual position this morning and got one good shot that pretty much sums him up at this stage. Enjoy

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit with my BFF's GF Jenn today with her Hubby Kevin. They are expecting their first (A GIRL!!!) in February. I offered to do a sb/ps session with them and here are one of my favorites so far. I know I cut off their legs but I think it's by far one of the best portraits I have done!! Thanks Jen!

Missing The Magic

Last Sunday, Miss Boo and I departed, with my Parents, at 3:15 am heading for our flight to Orlando. We arrived in Orlando, boarded the Magical Express and where whisked away to the most magical time I have ever experienced with both my parents, and especially my Daughter. It was quite bittersweet at times when Craig wasn't there to witness such events but I documented everything on DVD and camera. He had a guys week at home with Mason, which he was excited about as well. Here are a few I took of her. Enjoy! Hopefully in a couple of years, we will be going back!

Miss Boo's first day of school was today. She was so excited. She woke up, made her bed (yes), ate all of her breakfast, and out the door we went. She listened so well this morning. Home Sweet Home

Well.. Last Thursday, Maddie, Mason, and I left the Hubs and retreated to Lake Wallenpaupack for almost an entire week. We had alot of fun. I took Maddie to the beach at the lake a couple times and we had a blast. Mason couldn't, it would have been a safety issue being alone with the two of them. She has been so hard to tag and take photos lately, and Mason is still thankfully at that agae where he can be some what contained. So I planted him in the highchair and infront of the porch door and let the light shine on through. Well I have to apologize for the lack of posts this past couple of months. It's been quite hectic around here. Between spring cleaning, organizing, and playing outside I haven;t had time to really post or even take pictures nonetheless. I figured I would appease my father however since he made a comment last week that I don;t post enough.

I love this picture of Boo and Craig. Not the best shot in the world. Crappy lighting, and she really NEVER looks at the camera, but enough for me to love it. She is growing into such a young lady. Too fast I am afraid, right before my eyes. This parenting thing just goes by way to fast!

My computer has been abandoned for weeks now all because of this weather. Spring cleaning is in full swing and I have yet to settle down on the computer and do anything until today. A nice rainy yucky, good to do nothing day! I took this yesterday. Maddie is doing really well with driving the Jeep, which is alot to say compared to last year. So I was outside with Mason, I plopped him in shotgun and away they went. The look on Mason's face was priceless. He was having a great time!

I was doing good for a while there. Almost blogging everyday, I have been so busy with Spring here now. Cleaning out unwanted clutter. Helping in the yard when I can, and even just relaxing and spending time with the kiddos. I must admit, I feel guilty at times being on the computer when there is no naps going on. So I leave you with Mason. The Man himself. He is really starting to show his personality, and I am totally in love. He babbles, goos and just about to walk....any day now!! He's a real tease with it but he's getting braver a little more every day. The most frustrating thing is I can never get him still for a picture. He is on the move. So this shot I plopped him in the leaves and he stood completely still, for like 15 seconds. Enjoy

My FABULOUS sister and her husband went to New York for an Anniversary weekend, and returned with these. Delicious Magnolia Bakery cupcakes. They were absolutely delicious. An Evening of Surprise!

So let me start explaining the story of these two fabulous men in my Life. Andrew and Brian. I guess you could say in my life right now Andrew would be considered Craig and I's namesake. He introduced us way back almost 10 years ago (hard to believe). We have been friends ever since. Brian is Andrews brother and they are a great package deal. I love him just as much as I do Andrew. We practically are an extension of each others family. I had the opportunity to have just Brian over for dinner. Well to my surprise I got Andrew as well. Both my boys at the dinner table, feeling like it was 10 years ago. I truly am blessed to have them still in my life today. My daughter adores them both. Mason is neutral with everyone, so passive. Here are a couple of shots I took. HHCC if you would please, but they aren't the best shots. I have been out of commission for a while. My white balance was set wrong and I know the focus is off some what too. Enjoy!

I was in Styers Market with my mother the other day when I came across a sign. "A Clean House is a Sign of a Broken Computer." Although I clean on a regular basis I find this comment true. I have done so much in the past few days that I am up in arms what to do with naptime. The good thing is I can just plop on the couch and cuddle with Maddie knowing that all my chores are done. Thanks to my sister, I have the coolest domestic toy to fool around with for a while. The Hoover Floormate! Oh is it heaven for any domestic godess such as myself. It scrubs you lenoleom, laminate, tile, any hardsurface really. Better yet it sweeps the floor first, washes, and then dries. I did all the hard surfaces last night and today I have intentions on doing my bathroom upstairs. So exciting I know. So once again I am sorry I have no pics howeer my wonderful husband is going to buy me a new computer once September rolls around. I have a feeling that this will make my like a whole heck of a lot more exciting, and Steph...you'll finally have something to do at work (LOL). I miss all of you.

SO.....I was in Giant yesterday in the checkout lane when I was doing my usual dazing. When out in the corner of the eye appeared a phrase...."I love my girl Maddie". I gazed over to find what made my stomach churn. It was a picture of new teen Jamie Lynn Spears with her new baby Maddie. She wasn't even pretty enough to be called what came close to Maddie, nor did I even want to recognize that my Daughter has the same name as......you know what I am going to say right? I guess I was upset at first but realized....nothing can come close to my Maddie.

How does Your Garden Grow

Well mine is inherited by my mother-in-law I guess you can say and at time it grows quite wierd. I have a rose bush out back, or should I call it a rose stalk. One rose comes out of the ground all by its lonesome and here it is, so pretty though, and most importantly it's pink...My Favorite color. Maddie is so tempted to pick it but I just try and stear her another way. Another is a picture of this white fluffy stuff next to it that actually smells funny. Enjoy

Well.....Almost I guess. I love playing arounbd with my camera and I love reading and learning lots of new things, and bugging my sister at work with stupid questions (Sorry San). I usually don;t have the most steadiest of hands, no matter how I hold my camera and what not, so today I used my monopod, and WOW! I just wish I had my 85mm eh hemm (LOL). I took Maddie outside and I hate the fact she doesn;t pose. So I got this one which is silly but cute, and Mason in his happy place. I actually edited them on photoshop, I think I am getting the hang of that too!

I know this is a big NO NO but I took this pic off my sisters site. She took this on Mason's Christening Day. How cute is he. Besides my Nephew of course, have you ever seen a cuter, more handsome baby boy. I must say I am truly blessed. He is such a good, happy, funny, and docile at times, baby boy. I really thought I got off easy with Maddie when she was a baby, and God had a devil in store for me. But, this has truly been a different experience to say the least. He is happy like 98 percent of the time and only cries when he is hungry or tired. I am now thinking that this is all a fa sod and a preempt to whats about to come (teeth). But for now, just look at him.......My Perfect Handsome Little Prince. I Love You Mason William.

I love both my children very much, and I must say they are to peas in a pod. They were fooling around in the grass in our backyard having a great time. Mason was laughing so hard from his belly it was cute. He sure loves his big sister. Enjoy!

Al Alberts Worst Nightmare

I am sure all of you remember Al Alberts Teenie Boppers right? Well he would be rolling over in his grave right now if he saw mine. I was feeding Maddie, Craig was doing work in the office, and I heard not one peep out of Maddie. I see her come in to my room with this dress, and say to me..."Oh Mommy, It's a Cupcake Dress, I nee to wear it, it's so beautiful." Little did she know that this was the dress from her 1st birthday and I tried to explain that it wouldn;t fit her. After much deliberation, I decided to let her see for herself. She put it on and her face was priceless, she kept calling herself a ballerina. She thenb proceeded to go upstairs to get "shoes" and nontheless she comes down with the boots. She is so her mothers daughter. She says that she look hidious!

Well Craig requested that I bring the children up to seehim at his big tent event today at The Home Depot. I was impressed with the spread he had, complete with a free Starbucks Vendor (yummy). The only thing he wanted to do was plop Mason on top of the car and take some pics of him. The weather was real lousy but I made due I guess. Well, Maddie is only days away from being in her big girl room. Mason's room will hopefully be done by Sunday so Maddie and Mason will have their own little wing of the house, and the Hubby can move back in(ugh, he needs to get his snorer removed, it's in the works). Any how, Maddie is starting to want to pose for pictures. She asked me to take pics of her on her bed, so here is a preview. I am sorry you cannot see her bed itself. I was using the fabulous 85mm. There are also a couple of Mason getting ready to have breakfast.

I am the BIGGEST slacker when it comes to blogging. I must admit though, I have been a very busy women. My water brole around 8:30 at night following Thanksgiving dinner (he waited). Well Mason William arrived into this wonderful world on November 23, 2007 at 12:42 weighing in at a staggering 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. The delivery was interesting to say the least, and I would do it all over again 10 times more, (Craig says no but we'll see). I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. I must admit, I was a little aprehensive going into this new role of being a mommy to a boy, but I must say I am really loving it. He is another part of my world just like Maddie is. He is an old soul. Maddie is adapting well, we have our day but she is now wanting to hold him all the time. Mason loves to be cuddled just like Maddie used to like and he;s a great eater. I am nursing him so all is well so far. A little colicy here and there but not so so bad. He only cries when he wants something. He is so much fun to dress. I love making him look like a little old man. He scowls whenever he hears Maddie's voice. Little wrinkles scrunch up on his forhead and he looks up at me with the expression like, "Oh God Mommy, what is she going to do to me now. I just look down at him and go "Maddie loves you very much and she wants to show the world." Which is true. I don't know how many times she says "Mason, your my baby brother and I'm your big Siter. I Love You, awwww you're so cute (hugs and kiss).

Below are some of the pictures my sister took of this momentus occassion. I had my Mommy in there, Sandra and Craig of course. It was a wonderful experience for everyone. I look back at these pictures of him and still cry. The days go by so fast I feel that God should let us live in the moment just a little longer, but time goes on. So here he is everyone. I know I know, I have been slacking but since I know my sister is only one who reads this I am kind of discouraged at times. Anyway, so I guess everyone knows that I am having a boy. Mason William is what we will call him. I am very excited and so is Maddie. She loves blowing raspberries on my belly, it's her way of communicating with him. I couldn't help but hack this photo from my sisters block who is quite the amateur photographer. I am so proud of her work. I saw this pic of Maddie and it almost brought me to tears to see how much of a young lady she is turning into. We are fully potty trained and somehow I find myself in awe of how much she has matured in these past couple of months. Words cannot express how much I love, and how proud I am of my Little Lady.

Sorry...I have been dormant once again for a bit. I am sick once again with some kind of chest cold/infection. I have had this stubbon cough now for a couple of weeks. I was getting tired of it so I finally went to the Dr and prescribed me this Antibiotic that is totally kicking my butt and I feel like crap. Maddie is beng so good....she know when I am sick. I have a slight fever now on and off and now I have the chills. I am NEVER sick when I am not pregnant, and as soon as I am pregnant my immune system goes down the tube. Well, I am going to take a nice nap. More photos to come soon, as soon as I feel like taking more!!

Catching Up...

Ok, so I know I have been really slacking but it's been super crazy here for the past couple of weeks. First off we had an Ultrasound on the 3rd and the little buger decided that it was not going to show it's goods, it kept burying itself inside me so I have to now wait another 4 weeks to see. Good news is the Dr says I am doing well and can come every four weeks instead of two. Yeah!

Maddie and I headed up to the Mountains on the 5th to 9th. It was a really good time. I am glad I brought my Camera. I really have a tough time taking pictures of her because she just won;t stay still. This time I think the camera really found her! Enjoy!!

Well I have come to conclusion again that I HATE SUMMER! I know that is just a horrible thing to say but I cannot stand hot, humid weather.
